White Sox outfielder Tristan Peters named to AL All-Star team
<p>In 24 hours, <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox" target="_blank" >White Sox</a> center fielder Tristan Peters has hit for the cycle and been named an American League All-Star.</p><p>Before the Sox' game Saturday with the Athletics, Peters was added to the AL team to replace injured A's slugger Nick Kurtz. Peters, who was not a sure bet to even make the Sox out of spring training, has 3.0 WAR (per Baseball Reference) and has stabilized the outfield.</p><p>Peters will join teammates Miguel Vargas and <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2026/07/10/white-sox-munetaka-murakami-named-american-league-all-star-reserve-will-compete-in-home-run-derby" >Munetaka Murakami</a> at Tuesday's game in Philadelphia.</p><p><i>This story will be updated.</i></p>
