Brianna Westbrook, 41 — the former vice chair of the Arizona Democratic Party and its current education coordinator — is accused of breaking into the ex-partner’s Phoenix home on July 10 on pushing the alleged victim onto couch with orders to stay put, according to the Phoenix New Times. The victim screamed, leading the ex’s sister to race into the living room, when “Westbrook started making a lunging motion with the knife” before fleeing, police said. When cops got to the Democrat Socialists of America member at the suspect’s residence, Westbrook chalked the whole thing up to a “misunderstanding.” Westbrook told police that the pair “agreed to re-enact a scene where Westbrook scares the victim to help her deal with prior childhood trauma of abuse” and that the two were “into BDSM.” The suspect said the alleged victim was aware because the ex sent a “subliminal message on Instagram,” where photos from Westbrook’s account show the Dem wearing in racy, chain-linked garments.
