Illinois state police were investigating after someone was injured early Monday following a shooting on Interstate 57 in the south suburbs.State troopers responded to the northbound lanes of I-57 near 127th Street around 12:30 a.m. for the shooting, state police said. Officials said a person was taken to an area hospital with injuries, though it wasn’t immediately clear if they were shot.All northbound lanes were shut down for several hours and reopened around 5:25 a.m., state police said. No further information was immediately available.
