Sompot Chidgasornpongse, a 2021 recipient whose grant came through producer Apichatpong Weerasethakul, unveiled the 2026 edition; the resulting film, “9 Temples to Heaven,” premiered in Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight sidebar this year.
