Parallax Films has come aboard “The House on the Moon,” the Singapore wuxia science-fiction feature set to world-premiere in international competition at the 79th Locarno Film Festival, as worldwide sales agent. The company holds exclusive rights across most international territories. German-speaking territories, Taiwan and Singapore are excluded from that exclusivity, while Parallax also holds non-exclusive rights across other regions in Southeast Asia. Directed by Nelson Yeo and co-written by Yeo and Vicki Yang, “The House on the Moon” blends science fiction with wuxia, the Chinese tradition of martial-arts hero stories, drawing on the Chinese myth of moon goddess Chang’e and legendary archer Hou Yi.
