Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has lost yet another top communications official, extending a wave of turnover that has rattled the mayor’s press operation as she prepares for a bruising reelection campaign. Kolby Lee, Bass’ communications director, resigned Monday after serving five months in the role. He becomes the latest senior communications aide to leave City Hall in less than a year. He announced Tuesday that he was stepping down to spend more time with family.
