Playwright Max Wolf Friedlich, who made his Broadway debut with the buzzy thriller “Job,” is returning to the New York stage. His new show “The Holes” will premiere off-Broadway this fall. Robert Pattinson is executive producing “The Holes” with Brighton McCloskey through their company Icki Eneo Arlo, marking the team’s first foray into theater. “The Holes” takes place in a decaying bar in a rapidly gentrifying city upstate, where a mysterious, padlocked back room offers pleasure, relief, and “perhaps something far more dangerous,” according to the official logline.
