Investing.com -- Here are the biggest analyst moves in the area of artificial intelligence (AI) for this week. HSBC has upgraded Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) to Buy from Hold, raising its price target to $366 from $260, saying the iPhone maker is at "an operational turning point" as AI capabilities and a strong product pipeline support growth. Analyst Nicolas Cote-Colisson said the bank had previously preferred other parts of the AI value chain such as hyperscalers and memory makers, but now believes Apple "is well placed to leverage its 2.5bn installed device base with its forthcoming revamped Apple Intelligence." He highlighted that Apple invests just 2.5% of its 2026 estimated sales in capex, compared with 39% for hyperscalers. A key catalyst is the deployment of Apple’s new agentic Siri this year, featuring visual intelligence and context-aware conversations across apps, relying on foundation models distilled from Gemini that run on-device and on Apple’s private cloud servers.
