UW’s sports and academics both had deficits. Only 1 got a bailout
The University of Washington has money problems in both its sports programs and its College of Arts & Sciences. To help athletics, the university is giving loans to the sports department. At the same time, it is cutting budgets and staff in the College of Arts & Sciences.
