More than 40 kidnapped children and teachers freed after Nigerian army operation
Nigerian soldiers rescued more than 40 children and teachers who had been kidnapped. The operation took place in a northern state where armed groups often attack schools. The head of the local teachers' union said she felt happy, elated and full of joy after the release. Authorities have not said how many kidnappers were caught or if any were hurt.
