Remains found by Florida kayakers in 2024 identified as New York woman missing for more than 40 years
In May 2024, kayakers in Florida found human remains in a canal. After DNA testing, the police confirmed the remains were Rose Marie Gayhart, a 23-year-old woman from New York who went missing over 40 years ago. The police found out the identity of the remains in 2026.
